The exhaust end usually includes from the after catalyst to the bottom of the bumper. The choice of a drain depends on many more or less fundamental factors.
Quality: The quality of steel is undoubtedly decisive in the choice of a finish, the brands we deal with use SUS304 steel which is the best steel for exhaust lines, as
STAINLESS STEEL, resistant to high temperatures, but more expensive. The SUS409 is also often used which is a very good metal even if cheaper.
The most expensive is Titanium, very expensive but also much lighter. The material diffuses even better the various sound frequencies.
Sound: Another decisive factor is the sound that our car must have. A well done drain must bring out the voice of our engine, be it a Turbo or Aspirated, and for
some doubles as a placebo effect :)
Design: There are different designs, with single output so-called MONO, double output or DUAL, with a final called TIP in both steel and Titanium.
Size: The measures unfortunately are among the most important data of a discharge, of which many times are not taken into account.
Measurements of a drain are essential for a good preparation. For a Turbo car that is aspirated for example, the exhaust gas counter-pressure is managed.
The perfect example is found in the Rallies, where to increase the counter-pressure of the exhaust gases, it is possible to use exhaust end-pieces with a diameter of 40mm,
where instead they are used to installing diameters from 90-100-110 :)
