EMU Classic is designed to drive the most advanced and complex motors currently available. The CLASSIC EMU controls the fuel, ignition and auxiliary systems on 1--12 cylinder engines, including those with drive-by-wire throttle 1 and VVT.
The adaptable firmware means models with more awkward Knock sensors can be used allowing for future testing for new models not yet released. It can directly drive up to 6 passive coils or 12 smart coils and requires no external amplifiers / power modules to achieve this. Sophisticated drive-by-wire strategies provide a wide range of throttle control along with advanced plausibility (fault / fault) checking for safety. The EMU offers more built-in value than any other aftermarket ECU. Easily combine the functionality of other autonomous management systems with multiple inputs and outputs. Unlike many other ECU systems, EMU has a built-in broadband lambda input (Bosch LSU 4.2 sensors wired directly), MAP control connector (onboard 4-bar MAP sensor), 2 EGT probe inputs and one input for connecting direct of a Flex Fuel ethanol content sensor. All of this provides greater flexibility, reduces costs, and eliminates the need for additional or external signal conditioning control systems and associated cabling that other management systems require. Map shift, launch control, adaptive Lambda control, flexible fuel control, and wheel slip control are some of the software-controllable options available.
